Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust
Equestrian related injuries account for up to 8% of all call-outs for some air ambulance services (Horse & Hound).
Air ambulance services are financed by public fundraising and donations.
This year parliament debated a backbench motion proposing that VAT paid on fuel by air ambulances should be refunded. This followed the lodging of a petition backed by 150,000 citizens in favour of changing the current system. As yet no change is forthcoming.
Air ambulance services deserve all possible support from horse riders and the equestrian community.
